99 missed calls

I had a hilarious dream.. it's a pity i cannot remember every single detail though. I dreamt that i was staying in a hotel and i was supposed to meet some friends in the evening. During the course of the day, these friends tried to contact me when i was out of the hotel room and as usual, i did not carry my handphone with me. The hilarious part is my day was rather exciting. i was actually on TV 4 times! One of which was i was stuck in a bubble lift tt was hanging precariously in the air. so i saw some reporters who provided some media coverage. Cant rmbr what were the other 3 times i was on TV for, vaguely recall i took part in some competition or got interviewed. When i finally got back to hotel room, i took out my phone and there were 99 missed calls.
-lol-

Menotti.. Mmmm

is really good! They serve heavenly desserts and i cant wait to go back again. -lol- looks like this xmas is ironically sinful :) Hope i'll be given renewed motivation to catch up with my rounds around the track!
Check out some photos :) You'll love menotti too :)

i told wei that the place looks like a spaceship interior. haha

What i had :) think it's called firenze

What we ordered :) wei ordered hot chocolate which u have to add milk to the melted chocolate yourself and this dessert which i forgot the name

opps.. i forgot to add. Menotti is at raffles city

for the first time in my life

For the first time in my life, i was given a reason why it happened. It's an eerie feeling, cos i was made to feel that everything in this world is planned. With my experience, i was able to give advice, tell a friend that i understand and in the process give comfort.

Coms Ball

A quick short post before i sleep. Not sure why i'm so eager to post something tonight, must be the collage i made!!
I had a gd time at the ball and my date weeping kept us all entertained. He's still the same old classmate weeping i use to see in RJ uniform :) The even more amusing thing is he took his RJ sleeping habit with him to army. -lol-
Thanks to weeping, i got another 2 boxes of chocs in my fridge. This xmas has been made truly chocolatey.

Today was quite exciting considering i had make up on first time in a long while. But the removing part was crazy! Even till now i think my eyes still look black from the mascara ~!@#$% -lol-
The hair.. i've always had str hair and this time the girl who did my hair was determined to do everything i refused to do. She did curls and blew ALL my fringe up. I took SO long to accept a change in me.

Hmm.. i was teling a few pple tt i'm full of paradoxes. On one hand i'm the adventurous sort, on the other i prefer to stick to my usual style. I'm happy most of the time, but i'm most easily made :( by myself. I love things to be simple and i'm quite ok with everything in general, but i'm fussy when i do my shopping.. How am i supposed to fully understand myself?? -lol-

good night.

Guylian Chocolate

This is one of my all time favourite chocolate. I can rmbr how i used to ration it carefully as a child, especially when it belongs to the more expensive range :)
I went to their website and found out that "Guylian" the brand name comes from Guy and Liliane Foubert who founded the company. Quite interesting. When i was younger, i'd always wonder why the combination "Guy" and "Lian" -lol-
Anyway, i stole the bottom half of this post from their website. Feel free to click ard to find out more of their chocolates!
I hope i get to go belgium someday. I personally think their chocolates are the smoothest!!
Dont forget to click on Opus, they have chocolate pieces named after famous musicians :) I thought it was quite cute :)

blue roses

Finally got some pending stuff done today -yay!- I realise when you've got less things at hand waiting to be done, you start to enjoy simple things like msning or updating my page, like now, more. As i'm typing, i actually pay attention to and enjoy the gentle clanging sounds made by my windchimes in my room. It's a very pleasant treat to the ears! I really LOVE windchimes!! So much that i buy them from every country i visit, only when i see nice ones of cos.

Saw some pretty windchimes at Bugis today. But nons of them really made me feel compelled to take them home. I think it's interesting how i have this theory: If i have a single doubt abt getting sth, dont get it. AND Only sth that has caught my attention at first sight is worth being considered :) I know i just made myself sound super fussy but at the end of the day, i feel that it's most important that i'm happy with things i take home :)

Got reminded of blue roses today :) I rmbr Jon telling me that Blue roses signifies rarity, fantasies, hoping for miracles, new opportunities and possibilities. Deep blue roses are really beautiful but till today, i still cant decide which colour of rose is my favourite. Gd thing abt roses is they can be dried, so in a way they last, unlike tulips, sadly :)

Hmm.. sounds like i should look for some pics of roses to compare. Ideas for the a post: find out the meaning of the different rose colour and number! :)

One of my friend said that i ought to be gd with flowers and plants, afterall, i'm named after the ivy plant.

Post again soon :)

all out to love you

"its a path i've chosen and i'm willing to go all out to love you"

a simple msg like this will make any one reflect on how fortunate he or she is and how there're so many things that should not take for granted.

a simple msg, of such weight usually comes from someone who has accepted you as you are and has made promises to show u the immense possibility of love.

to those who has said something to the effect of this msg, hope you were right in your choice and have found what you've been looking for :)

to those who has loved me in a way or another, there's always a place for you in my heart :)

plenty plenty to say

Hm.. i've got so much i want to post abt, but i've been home pretty late these days tt i really cannot find the energy to upload pics and update my page :) Shall aim to summarise my week in this post :)

|FRS Part II|

I'm quite glad that FRS is finally over. In comparison, our groups research topic was less scientific, but how much time did we devout into this project really? Everyone wanted just to get over with it. Perhaps the project itself was less interesting but i had quite a bit of fun with part of my Anat group.
Notice tt there's a guy in the picture grid. Tt's weiyan and he willingly agreed to be the guy to be filmed. I really like his shirt and tie. It was quite a contrast to his usual shirt, berms and sandals. Come to think of it, sonner or later, all the guys will be seen like this when we hit the hospitals :)
The girls in the top left hand corner: Natasha and monmon

|Earth from the Air|

|In London|I think aerial photography is really cool. I first saw Yann Arthus-Bertrand's exhibition in London and i was overjoyed to hear tt it'll be in Singapore. It's now in orchard and it stretches from outside wheelock place all the way to forum. This is an exhbition not to be missed!! The exhibition has expanded since i last saw it in London and with the caption that comes with every photograph, you'll learn not only about what you see but also also stimes the culture and history of the site of photograph. Interesting.
I'm definitely going back. Kendrick, we go together? :)

|One of my Favourite| Though not all the photos i rmbr from London could be found in this collection, they didnt leave out my favourite!! This exhibition is abt photography, nature, geography, beauty and so much more.. dont forget to catch it!!

|TCC, always my fave!|

Eversince i tried TCC, i'm convinced tt it's the coffee chain i like the most. It used to be coffee bean, whose ice blended mocha brought Jaymie and me together, then was starbuck's vanilla latte and now it's the sheer variety tt TCC has to offer that has made me deem it the best :)
Look at the pics. U'd realise that the drinks are also a treat for the eyes. I love tall glasses that allow u to peek at the different layers of the drink, sth coffee bean and starbucks dont offer. Way to go TCC!! :) Looking fwd to try more things on their menu.

|Ubin Again|

Ubin is very fun!!! I've been blessed once again with gd weather. Unfortunately i could feel that i couldnt cycle as fast or overcome slopes as well compared to my last visit with matt, qiantai and yiuming. Must be my bout of bad throat and perpetual coughing. Another unfortunate thing is i FELL AGAIN!! Quite untimely i must say esp when i have to attend a formal event next monday in gown. Hope no one will notice the scratches.
Unfortunate things aside, i actually think my fall was rather hilarious. Cos i fell when i gave way to a monitor lizard which was probably sun bathing. I couldnt break in time, surved to the left and still rode over its tail -ouch- Hope the poor lizard still has its tail in tact. Felt really sorry abt it, but i've real tried my best. imagine i didnt even bother to avoid it. -OPPS-

Ubin was extra familiar this time round cos i managed to take the same cycling track to find the way to the farm. I saw the same uncle who kept a wild boar. The wild boar looks as sleepy and hungry. What new at the little hut was uncle's grandson. He's a little spoilt. He screamed and pouted for his grandpa's attention. Here he is :) Notice that he had a 3 day old guinea pig in his hands. I was so afraid that he will drop it or squeeze it too hard. Hope that piglet is fine and is 10 days old. Looking at the happily squeeking guinea pigs and piglets reminded me of my own piglets. I miss them dearly and i hope they know that they've not been forgotten. I was just watching the video i filmed of one of them before it died of old age and i was overwhelmed by how lives of our pets are always transient. As deep the impression my dearest piglets have left behind, i really wished they rmbr my family as well. The good times we had together just cannot be forgotten :)
Guinea pigs aside, uncle also kept many other pets. Birds, bunnies, terrapins, dogs are just to name a few. Hope i get to visit this family again soon :) Anyone wanna come?
Ohyes another thing, the little boy i met has never been to main island. Uncle told me he'll be starting kindergarten next yr. Wonder how he'll cope. Reminds me of how i used to tell the security guard at my prev work place that i lived in Ubin and hence not very convenient to visit me. Hahaha.. Will this little boy have to travel to mainland everyday? I also noticed that he was running all over the place without shoes. Pple from main island like us are always geared with proper footwear.. i guess that's a contrast between us and the villagers. I suppose this little boy has never played computer or a gameboy?

|Wining Experience|

i didnt realise the 3 of us were the only locals in KE 7 tabletennis until this week. Wenjun, baiwei and myself's been having lotsa fun. Going for training now is really less of a trouble now that we take turns to take the car. With the car come more convenience to stop by somewhere for supper too. I'm real glad to get to know the 2 of them better. Hope we'll have more adventures together :)
Thanks to wenjun, the burger, who brought us to try some wine. i REALLY love wine with cheese :) Looking forward to our next adventure!!

Someday I'll know

There's so many things in life tt'll remain unanswered. There're so many what ifs which we'll never know the answers to and sometimes we just wish we'll know why this happens to ourselves.

Really like this song which i havent heard for a while.

|Someday We'll know|
Ninety Miles outside Chicago
Can't stop driving
I don't know why
So many questions
Need an answer
Two years later
You're still on my mind

i guess each one of us have done things which we werent sure why we're doing it. Sometimes i really dislike the feeling of not being in control. But yet there're also times i think it's nice to just let go. It amazes me when i stop doing anything or when i stop to think of sth, the whole world is still marching on. Think abt it.. and with the whole world still revolving, despite being at rest, u'll eventually pick up the momentum of this world and get moving all over again. it's a bit like sleeping and waking up to a brand new day.

It's painful to be reminded tt i'm more inclined to take charge than to let go and let things come naturally. Surely there's a gd thing abit it but dad says no one's perfect. We're all meant to be good only in a certain group of things :) The thought of the whole world complementing one another is beautiful! The perfect balance to everything.. it sorta gives a meaning to our purpose here.

Whatever happen to Amelia Earhart?
Who holds the stars up in the sky?
Is true love just once in a lifetime?
Did the captain of the Titanic cry?

the night sky always makes me wonder how the coruscating lights ended up in there like glitter. and why are they there?? surely there's more to believing that those that sparkle are stars and those that dont are planets :)

Someday we'll know
If love can move a mountain
Someday we'll know
Why the sky is blue
Someday we'll know
Why I wasn't meant for you

Does anybody know the way to Atlantis
Or what the wind says when she cries
I'm speeding by the place that I met you
For the 97th time...tonight

Despite how rational we think we are, we still at some points of time clinch onto sth pointless. It could take the form of doing sth repeatedly, thinking of sth again and again or just deluding ourselves that we've totally let go. the truth is, forgetting is harder to rmbr. -lol- IF rmbring is already such a challenge for me, can you imagine how diff it'll be for me to forget? :) Food for thought

Someday we'll know
Why Samson loved Delilah
One day I'll go
Dancing on the moon
Someday you'll know
That I was the one for you

I bought a ticket to the end of the rainbow,
I watched the stars crash in the sea,
If I could ask God just one question
Why aren't you here with me...tonight

Someday we'll know
Why Samson loved Delilah
One day I'll go
Dancing on the moon
Someday you'll know
That I was the one for you

I wish i can type more of my thoughts.. but i have to go for now.. will continue writing! :)

FRS group [Part I]

FRS isnt too bad afterall. [haha.. esp when it's almost coming to an end!] With part of my anatomy group being my FRS group, i think it's real good opportunity to have MORE fun together and also get to know them better :)
Took quite a few pics today with my camera, but i'm forgetful enough not to bring the cable home! So shall divide the pics into 2 parts :)

|The champion JJ| This guy is super funny!! He's supposed to be chicken little here -lol- Dont underestimate him, 'cos he's completed the recent standard chartered marathon and he's so damn smart!

|Cheerleader Bears| We went ikea to eat meatballs after FRS today. Natasha made this pyramid of bears after lunch :) How cute!

|Edible ball - before| Natasha wanted to go rupini's to shape her eyebrows so we went down to little india after ikea. This pic was taken at komala's after our mustafa trip. Was so fun i tell u! I cant believe we spent the longest in the toy dept. Anyway, the pic.. i cant rmbr what the ball is called.

|the after|
This is what the 'ball' looks like after JJ and Nat deflated it :)

Will post the other pics soon :)
