dreamful

i just gave tuition on behalf of wenyang and i'm writing this post over lunch as i try the famous pie at white sands :)

Yang was surprised to see me online so soon and thought i was home within such a short time. haha.. Honestly i find it qt cool also... that's why i love my eeepc :) yay

Interestingly i had a dream last night and this time it has to do with my eeepc! I suspect this dream was suggested by an incident tt happened in the day.

The Background
Y'know how some people are exceedingly particular in keeping their books neat especially the corners – must not be bent, must not fray etc.? These people usually make sure they buy their books in prime state by checking pages and all corners of the book thoroughly. I may be ocd.. but when there are very few copies of bk to choose from, i dont think i will go to another shop or buy another day as long as the ugliness is bearable :)

Anyway, ystdy my new book cover got bent although it's only the first day i bought it. I was surprisingly not affected cos i optimistically thought that if i were to study hard during o&g, my book will look cui also :) haha

My Dream
Ystdy i dreamt of someone scratching my eeepc screen till it was a gaping defect. I was damn sad that the person responsible didnt offer to do anything lor... I think i cried really badly in my dreams till i woke up!

When i woke up, i thought abt this dream over breakfast. I asked myself What does this mean? Perhaps subconciously, my eeepc is
1. damn precious to me
2. more precious than my textbk

I think it's qt nan2 de2 to make a purchase i love so much :) yay

On the whole, i have been quite dreamful. I've had so many dreams lately that will leave me wondering What does this mean?

Dont u think it's interesting how the brain orchestrate a dream by concocting ur subconscious thoughts, memories and active thoughts? It's really funny when things get blown out of proportion like owning a spectacle shop when in actual life, i'm looking pair of new specs.

Hope some of u are dreaming and enjoying the process of expoloring what they mean too.

Happy Children's day!

自然醒

Last night must have been the most restorative sleep i've had in a long while probably cos i was truly tired! I think physical fatigue is more likely to promise you a good night sleep than anything else :)

It's nice that writing here is the last thing i do before i sleep and first thing i do after i wake up. I left my eeepc right next to my bed! :)

Ystdy was not only restful, i dreamt of pretty and happy things too! Some of my friends say my dream manufacturing part of my brain is very suggestible and true enough, i dreamt that my friend (i cant rmbr who she is for sure! I suspect it's mon mon cos she and i talked abt green specs ystdy) and i co-owned a spectacle shop and the concept of the specs we're selling is similar gab's bag and new specs with exchangable parts. The specs my shop was selling had exchangable sides and they are very pretty lor! The girls can get floral design, the boys can get plain colour or cool designs and of course there were other artsy fartsy or cool prints to add a little twist to the initally simple pair of spectacles :):)

Photobucket

Then i also had a dream abt deciding to go and jog after teaching tuition. Perhaps i've been yearning to get paid too much that tuition is actually subconciously always on my mind OR it is because my student lives beside bedok resevoir which is a very nice place to jog. Anyway, in my dream i supposedly went to bird park (???) but when i was jogging it felt like it was botanical gardens with the flowers in full bloom! yay

After a while, I looked at my watch and realise it is abt dusk and i thought i'd like to catch the sunset. As i was jogging, i decided to check my bag for my camera and mini tripod! I was so happy that i had it, even though i never in real life jog with my bag :) hahaha I actually intended to run to this place known to have beautiful sunset (which looks so familiar and i think i dreamt of the place before!!!) then i got stopped by someone behind. A fren in hospital scrub was actually jogging too! HAHA.. this is really funny to me cos at costumes meeting ystdy, we were thinking abt how to find sweeper's clothes and someone suggested wearing oversized inverted scrubs so that the hospital name isnt visible. And this is what that friend did lor! Jogging in inverted srubs. Then we ran a bit and he was stopped by a consultant, which i wasnt involved in their conversation, not sure if it was regarding wearing scrubs out in public.. haha

When we finally got to my destination, i was so sad that the sunset wasnt nice cos it was very cloudy :( When i was about to leave, i met xiaoxuan in the same attire i saw her in yesterday! I suspect it is cause i saw her from afar and never got a chance to talk to her but i really wanted to at least say hi :)

On a whole, i think my dreams are pretty interesting. They sort of summarise some of the things that make up my life these days. Haha.. unfortunately, i didnt dream of my eeepc!

spectacles, friends (both those i've been in contact with and those i havent spoken to for eons), jogging, tuition, photography, mini tripod, pretty flowers to make me feel happy, disappointment, playhouse costumes??? etc

Hope a good day is awaiting for me :) yay

Interesting Dream

Last night i dreamt of my pri sch Indian teacher. She invited me to her housewarming party and it turned out that her new house is in Sentosa!
Her house was gorgeous, with the pretty exterior and interior design and had most of the rooms overlooking the coast. She also had a very long indoor pool spanning the length of several big rooms!

I woke up and thought about why i had this dream. It's interesting that i do not even know how she's doing and perhaps i am even fearful to find out. How would u feel when a someone u really like died of old age and u only found out very long aft it has happened? Would u blame urself for not keeping in touch?

Interestingly, i had a second dream tt also took place in Sentosa. Wenhui and Gab were rollar blading with pippin and Valerie and I were choosing nice confectionary/pastry from a german backery. I decided on sth sugar-frosted for gabriel and sth shaped of a dog for wenhui. I cant rmbr what val bought but she did buy a lot for andrew, deborah, her cat and herself! :) We also decided on a HUGE cookie for both marc and jeremy.

I think i like my new cg a lot :)

Sunrise Dream

I was told that on average, all of us have 4-5 dreams each night but it's hard to believe cos we seldom rmbr that many.

Anyway, i woke up today thinking abt what Bertram told me some time back. He thinks that the best sunrise photo he has seen was the one published on a certain issue of National Geographic magazine.

At that time, i thought all photos of sunrise look similar and i couldnt really identify my favourite. I even thought i'd never do so until i saw one last night!

I dreamt of the most beautiful sunrise last night. The weird (or perhaps amazing) thing to me was the dream was set in Cambridge! Not that they have such sunrise there, but at the moment when i was watching the sunrise with the rest, i suddenly understood why some people love watching sunrise so much.

The dream was perfect, but for my own sake, i attempted to draw what i saw!

My friends and i with everyone else were waiting at the cliff for the sun to rise. The sunrise was very different cos it rose behind a distant island with tall trees! I just have to say
(1) I know that cambridge is no where near the sea
(2) I like this sunrise cos it's not the usual sun-rise-up-from-the-sea or a plain shot of the sky.

For those who have watched City of Angels starring Nicholas cage... rmbr the part where the angels would await the first beam of light from the sun? My friends waited patiently just like they did.

The moment the sun emerged behind the trees was so breathtaking that i suddenly felt that if were to die today, i could leave with no regrets cos i've seen something so beautiful! On the other hand, my friends from cambridge made me understand that the sunrise every morning was so worth looking forward to that they will work super hard for the rest of the day and await for the next sunrise.

The sunrise is a combination of some of these photos. Nothing comes close! It was just so beautiful :)

Hence, like my friends from cambridge, i shall work damn hard. I'm sure it will pay off.

Lastly, it was nice walking around cambridge like i just visited it. I ought to visit the place again soon!
