I seriously cant wait for OnG to be over.. i seriously dislike it

sleepless and sleepful

I'm not sure what my mom is up to these days. She seems to prefer watching TV in the living room till late and falling asleep with the tv on. The most dreadful thing is she SNORES! Most people know that i'm a light sleeper...

TV on + Loud snores = disrupted sleep :(

Not sure if this is the reason why i am super sleepy today. It's quite sad that i misread one of the questions for OSSE :( sigh

Also, i'm inapproriately still sleepy now when i'm supposed to be a morning person!

Hope i get some good rest and prep well for fri and sat.

Unfortunately, i realise my yield during exam week is very poor. This is prob the opposite of most people :(

On a brighter side of things.. One more day down :)

Different Perspectives

Recently, i've been given more opportunities to see how different people can respond/approach the same thing in contrasting ways. On a personal note, it's becoming more obvious that it is all a matter of choice how i'd feel about things :) It's all about the perspective :)

For example, my Most dreaded OnG exams is this week. I could complain and be utterly stressed out abt it but i choose to focus on how soon it'd be over! Yay!

Of course, perhaps i may start to panic on thurs and fri night :S



I hurt my finger today.. but instead of concentrating on the pain, i learnt what wonders a nice plaster can do to cheer me up :)

Hope u too will look at the more positive side of things :)

Cold rainy sleepy day

It was unbelivably cold this morning. My thermometer actually said it was 22 degrees!

When i took this photo in the afternoon, it was 23 degress already. But it is still cold by local standards ya?


Because of the wonderful weather, my effort to study for neonatolgy came to a premature standstill. Needless to say, the growth of my knowledge is somewhat restricted intra-cranially, ICGR. I wish i dont have the sleeping, blogging bug and hypoglycemic disturbances.. Tmr will i have thought obstruction??? Let's hope tmr's test wont leave me feeling too distressed.

I'm counting down still! Cant wait for this wk to be OVER!

Now that the week has started. i cant wait for it end.
Pls wish me luck and hope that i'll survive! :)

Early Xmas

My parents are so cute! They've noticed that i have a recent liking of rittersport and they went to get some for me in support of my upcoming exam week :)



Apparently these are also my xmas present:) haha
Guess how many they bought me?



Notice there is a repeat of yoghurt and butter biscuits. I think my dad is incredibly 细心. I'm amazed that he noticed that these are the 2 flavours i usually get. I like the strawberry joghurt too! But it's only available at candy empire.
I like hazelnut milk chocolate too which my dad didnt get but he bought me a block of hazelnut and dark chocolate to try :)

I love my parents :)

Watching this movie is like a mid-week morale booster. i really loved the children and i enjoyed being able to pick up familiar german phrases!

Hope this will fuel me till the end of the arduous days tt lies ahead :)

Sunday Today

I havent had a pleasant sunday for some time already and i'm so glad today turned out to be not too bad!

I wore this pj my aunt bought for me today :) It's really cute cos it says "brainy". If only i am brainy :)



Kong bak pau


Something special about today i guess :) I'm really amazed how my granny's muslim maid can cook such gd braised pork when she has never tasted any in her life!


I get a feeling that some of u might say ewwww.. to this. Cos coriander probably falls into the catergory of greens with disagreeable taste. My grandma and mom will swear by it and say it is the coriander that makes the kong bak pau perfect :)

When was the last time u had kong bak pau? I think my last was when i ate it with gab during patho posting. Correct? But the last time i saw it is during prof chia's lecture :) For ur cardivascular health, maybe it's good that u eat kong bak paus in moderation :)

Dad went to pump air at the petrol kiosk

This looks like a random photo but i thought it was pretty interesting that i can see myself in the side mirror:) Today, i had the realisation that i prob will not sell my compact camera even after i get a slr. There are days when it'll prob be more convenient to bring a small camera around. Let's hope this camera will continue to serve me well for a very long time!

Jupiterly Happy

My day started off really badly but it got better with some work done at Marc's house :)

I learnt something abt marc today! He can draw really well :) I really should have brought my camera so that i can feature some of his masterpieces here :)

He was so cute you know.. when he was young, he dated his works by masterpiece 1, masterpiece 2,3,4 etc :) Then eventually it was shortened to M5,6 etc..

On my walk out, wenhui and i saw 2 really bright stars! Which i was later told that they are Jupiter and Venus. How wonderful!

I managed to get a photo taken at home..


They looked nicer when unobstructed at marc's place :)

Anyway, another happifying thing is this!

Can u see the distant ridge? The locals think it looks like a pregnant woman lying supine. She's supposed to symbolise fertility! I didnt make this up cos i'm doing o&g Ok? It's true!

Prodromal

I really suspect that i am prodromal for some bug again..

Despite sleeping so much ystdy, i was persistently tired today :(
Sometimes i just know it that something is coming... Today i had the throbbing headache i always get tt heralds sth awful!

Hope my prophylaxis works! -crosses fingers- Or i'll have to kiss my wkend gdbye :(

On a more cheerful note, the happiest thing of the day was going for Prof Chia's lecture. He is soo cute! I really really like him! :)

What's disturbing however is my mom told me abt her nightmare. She dreamt that i got beaten up!!!
Wonder what it's supposed to mean.. :S

All these while, i've always had a special liking for the number 3.

and perhaps unknowingly, "3" has be incorporated into my everyday life :)

For example, i realise i like to be in a group of 3 and a lot of my gd friends are found in groups of 3 :)

I shall continue to take note how else 3 has been appearing in my life.

Saturday

Today i wondered when did i start to love Saturdays :)

Saturdays are nice cos there's another rest day tmr to look fwd to unlike Sundays when I'd inevitably start to think about the week ahead.

Week to Week

I realise that since O&G started, i've been living from week to week. When i was in SGH, i used to look forward to friday when it's only monday...

But today, i surprised gabriel for forgetting that today is friday!

Anyway, i'm so glad that weekend is here.. I realise one thing i look forward to every week is a new episode of Grey's =)

Sometimes i really like the opening lines of each episode, cos qt often its often quite true.

This wk's is ok... :)

I realised i dropped one side of my very much loved earrings today! :(


(nope.. they're not from swarovski)

Hopefully it fell off at home and is lying on the floor some where!

If not, i think i will go back to the same shop and get a new pair!

1 Month Old

How long ago was it when i was 1 month old?

I looked at my 1 month old niece in amazement cos 22 yrs ago, i was this small!







Watching babies cradled comfortably never fail to make me wonder how comfortable/uncomfortable it is cos i cannot rmbr :)

Just look at their hands! They're sooo small :)


At today's party i got to see my nephew and nieces i usually see only once in a year. I was so happy to be able to take some photos!



As usual taking photos of children is always challenging. They cannot stop moving!



I think shan yu will grow up to be qt good looking in future! He's really mischievious now though :)

I'm always out of sync with everybody :( When i was learning to walk, they were in upper primary or secondary school. Now that they have their families, i'm still studying :(

How i wish i have all the time in the world to bake! Haii.. i'm kinda drained, overwhelmed and traumatised by O&G now:(

Come Feb next year when she comes back to sg, maybe we can bake something together!



Ystdy gab also treated me to bread pudding at Paisley & Cream Cafe. It's really not bad.. cos i've nv been a fan of bread pudding.

Will definitely be back for more :)

Nights in Rodanthe

Gab thought i'd like this movie and i just have to watch it to find out why!



The start of the movie was really slow.. and i was waiting... and anticipating... for so long for the part gab thought i'd like to come out.

Gab also said that it was a sad movie and i only understood what he meant when Richard Gere died! Hmm.. somehow i wasnt expecting that to happen!

Well, anyway, i like this quote "there is a different kind of love, one that gives you courage to be better than you are and that makes you think anything is possible"

And i also like the house and the beach that was featured in the movie...
