Staying young at heart

|First day of Lunar New Year| First day of the year has been pretty good. The day started with church service and i listened to the best msg since the start of 2006. I especially liked today's service cos the speaker mentioned abt Audrey Hepburn. Since my first post on 3rd June 2004 on her after reading her biography, i've been searching for this photo that was in the book, much to no avail.. Even after persevering all the image search engines today. Hmm.. I really want to show everyone what Staying young at heart really means. That picture captured her strong resplendent youth that she exudes from deep within her silver-haired frame. In my opinion, she aged so beautifully!
Anyway, I learnt today that aging really begins when we start to think "no, it's impossible" or "There's no hope". Where's is the equivalence of the courage we had when we took our first step? Why do we give up more easily as we age? Is it simply cos we know ourselves and our limits better as we grow old? We too become less inquisitive, look at things less simply and most importantly many of us stop to love unconditionally..
I like the Audrey Hepburn that was active in creating the awareness of the children's plight in Africa. The unconditional love she bestowed upon the children probably contributed to her beauty as she aged.
This New Year, as families gather and children run about, i hope everyone gets reminded and reaquainted with the child inside them :)
